Biography

Portia Walker is an independent journalist who works for BBC World News and other outlets. She’s reported from across the Middle East and North Africa for outlets including The Economist, The Washington Post, The Independent and Foreign Policy. From 2007 – 2010 she was a producer for “Frost Over the Word” at Al Jazeera English where she made television programmes from Afghanistan, India, the Middle East and the US. She studied Arabic Language in Fez, Morocco and English Literature at Magdalen College, Oxford.
