Charity Fain
Project Manager
Charity Fain is project manager for the IWMF responsible for developing, organizing and implementing IWMF programs. Prior to joining the IWMF in 2004, Fain was a program officer for the National Democratic Institute in Washington, DC. At NDI, she designed, planned and managed projects in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
Fain has held positions at The Advocacy Project in Washington, DC, the New York Academy of Science s and the Open Society Institute in New York. While at OSI, Fain managed women’s rights programs, including OSI’s Human Rights Advanced Leadership Training for Women, a program that provided grants to conduct human rights advocacy campaigns and training for women in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and Mongolia.
Fain holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies from American University. She studied at Moscow State University as an undergraduate and speaks Russian.
