More and more women journalists are expressing the desire to use the internet
as a faster, more comprehensive and more efficient means for communication and
information gathering. The following is a list of sites that will help launch
journalists into cyberspace - to sites for gathering information about Africa
and the rest of the world, women and topics of concern to women, development
issues, "alternative" news outlets, networking, professional groups and more.

resource of educational and technical assistance for all users. If you are unfamiliar
with how to use the internet to gather information, this is an excellent place
to start! All information is available in five languages, including English
and French, and covers Internet basics, the World Wide Web (WWW), Email, Newsgroups,
Website publishing and more.

There is an ever-increasing number of places to access the internet. In some countries access is readily available. There are also "Cyber-cafes" - or businesses that charge a fee per-hour for access. The above site provides a detailed list of internet accessibility in every African country.
