Module 2 - How Power and Influence Grow

Balanced Scorecard

Additional sources of influence are integrity and empathy. Integrity means adhering to your values. Empathy is demonstrating genuine concern for others, which leads people to believe you act in their best interest.

The most effective source of influence is a balance of integrity, empathy and expertise. Together, these traits garner trust and respect, which can lead to a higher level of commitment from staff members, colleagues and bosses.
