Leadership and Communication

 

To be an effective, credible and competent leader, you need to develop a relationship of trust with your staff, your colleagues and your supervisors.  One of the most important ways you can build this trust is through communicating and interacting with your colleagues.  Therefore, developing good communication skills is necessary for developing good leadership skills.

 

Women in media leadership positions around the world have told the IWMF that having good communication skills is one of the most important qualities of a good leader.  These same respondents say that communication is one of the strengths of women in media management.
