1. Sara, the editor of the government desk and Emma, a government reporter, come to you for a meeting. Sara tells you that Emma won’t accept the assignment to cover the press conference at the governor’s office tomorrow. Emma says Sara isn’t supposed to give her assignments so she isn’t willing to drop the story she’s already working on to cover the press conference. You are surprised because just last week you issued a memo announcing Sara’s promotion to editor and detailing her new responsibilities. As their supervisor, what would you do next?

	A. Give Emma another copy of your memo and tell her that if she had read it last week when it was sent out, she would know what to do in this situation.
	B. Tell Emma to cover the press conference.
	C. Tell Sara to work it out on her own with Emma.
