Ann Curry

Ann Curry is an anchor-at-large of NBC News’ Today show and NBC News national/international correspondent.

She joined Today in 1997 and was named co-anchor of Dateline NBC in 2005. Curry also regularly substitute anchors for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.

Curry has conducted numerous exclusive interviews with world leaders and dignitaries, including the Dalai Lama and former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto just two months before her assassination in December 2007. She has also distinguished herself in global humanitarian reporting, frequently traveling to remote areas of the world for under-reported stories.

Curry has earned numerous awards for her work, including four Emmys Awards, four Golden Mikes, several Associated Press Certificates of Excellence and an award for Excellence in Reporting from the NAACP.

Curry joined NBC News in August 1990 as a Chicago-based correspondent. Before coming to NBC, Curry was a reporter for KCBS in Los Angeles. In 1981, she was a reporter and anchor for KGW, the NBC affiliate in Portland, Oregon. Curry began her broadcasting career in 1978 at KTVL, in Medford, Oregon.
