A Tribute to Marie Colvin

The IWMF remembers Marie Colvin, the brave journalist who was killed in 2012 while covering the conflict in Syria. Colvin, a truly inspirational journalist and humanitarian, covered the impact of war from East Timor and Sri Lanka to Chechnya and Iraq. Colvin was awarded the IWMF’s Courage in Journalism Award in 2000.

In 2000, the IWMF honored Marie Colvin’s exceptional courage as a war correspondent with the Courage in Journalism Award. Veteran journalist Mike Wallace (CBS, 60 Minutes) presented to Award to Colvin in New York on October 10, 2000.
