IWMF’s Crediting Requirements

The International Women’s Media Foundation is the only organization that provides safety training, byline opportunities, and emergency support tailored to women journalists and photographers around the world. Prominent credit in news outlets is essential for us to secure sustainable funding to support more women journalists. Research also shows that active transparency improves public trust in news and your news outlet.

Any content produced with support from an IWMF fellowship or grant must credit our partnership. The credit should appear on the landing page for a digital story, with a link to the IWMF’s website (iwmf.org), or on the first page of a print story. For a radio or television story, the credit should be delivered on-air in the introduction. For projects of significant scope, our logo should also be included.
