Adhiambo Edith Magak is a Nairobi-based journalist covering health, social justice and culture. Her work has appeared in several publications worldwide. She is the content editor at bird story agency, Africa's first specialist news agency designed to shift narratives about and in Africa away from dangerous stereotypes. In 2021, Magak was a recipient of the Solutions Journalism Network's reporting fellowship, where she produced a 4-part docu-series on tech and health innovations by people with disabilities in Kenya. As an ongoing contributor for NAM aidsmap, a publication communicating HIV-related research to people worldwide, her writings advocate for equitable and accessible HIV testing, prevention, and treatment for African women and minoritised communities.
