Alejandra Rajal

Alejandra Rajal is a freelance documentary photographer based in Mexico. She studied at Universidad Popular Autonoma del Estado de Puebla in Mexico and the University of Chester in the United Kingdom. Her work focuses on social themes and its impacts, such as religion, environment, gender, and migration. She is a member or Native Agency and Women Photograph. Nominated for the PND´s 30 (2019). In 2017 received a scholarship from IWMF to attend the Documentary Photography Festival by Native Agency in Ecuador. Has attended several workshops and portfolio, such as: Boreal Bash (2016 and 2019), Foundry Photojournalism Workshop (2017), Photoville (2018) and Mirar Distinto (2018). Her work has been published by NPR and National Geographic.

Alejandra Rajal es una fotógrafa documental independiente originaria de México. Estudio en la Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla en México y en la University of Chester en Reino Unido. Su trabajo se enfoca en temáticas sociales y sus impactos, como lo es la religión, el medio ambiente, el género y la migración. Es parte de la Agencia Native (Native Agency) y Women Photograph.
