Alexis P. Williams is the associate producer at Washington Post Live and a freelance journalist for The Washington Post. Her work focuses on the intersection of arts, entertainment, and culture with race, gender, and identity. She also enjoys spotlighting the creative arts community in her hometown of Washington, D.C. She holds a bachelor's in print journalism from Ohio Wesleyan University and a master's in broadcast journalism and public affairs from American University. She was one of three recent graduates chosen to participate in the ABC News Fellowship program in 2015 where she produced segments for Good Morning America, 20/20, and Nightline and wrote for ABCNews.com. She also worked in production at MSNBC on The 11th Hour with Brian Williams. Her work has appeared on VICE.com, Bustle, and Washington City Paper.
