Amber Ferguson is a video editor at The Washington Post. She films and produces local politics, education and breaking news videos for the Metro desk, which covers the Washington, D.C. region. Amber started at The Post working overnights and regularly wrote about online culture, social media trends, and viral video moments. She previously worked as the politics video editor at HuffPost and covered the 2016 presidential election and 2015 Baltimore riots. Amber was selected into the inaugural cohort for Poynter-NABJ’s Leadership Academy for Diversity in Digital Media in 2016. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland where she majored in History and minored in U.S. Latino/a Studies.
