Anna Codrea-Rado is a journalist, author and podcaster. She covers business, culture and technology, with a particular focus on working life. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Guardian, Wired, the Financial Times, Business Insider and many others. In 2021, Penguin Random House published Anna’s first book, You’re The Business, a practical guide to freelancing. She writes A-Mail, an award-winning newsletter about creative careers. She also co-hosts Is This Working?, a number one careers podcast on Apple Podcasts. Prior to going freelance, Anna held staff positions at Vice and the Guardian. A graduate of Columbia Journalism School, in 2012 she was Columbia's first Tow Center digital media fellow. In 2015 she was an International Reporting Project fellow to Nepal. (The trip was cut short by the earthquake, which she covered for the Guardian and Observer.) In 2019, she was shortlisted for a National Press Award. Anna is based in the UK.
