Anna Pamula is an independent journalist and writer based in France and Poland. She has been working on women's rights and migration stories worldwide mainly for Gazeta Wyborcza, the most prominent Polish newspaper. Her latest book, "Mamy do pogadania" based on six years of research and interviews with women worldwide, treats motherhood and stigmas related to women's reproductive health. Her previous book on the religious situation in France was nominated for the Book of the Year by National Geographic Poland in 2021. She collaborates as an editor and a local producer with Martyna Wojciechowska, editor-in-chief of National Geographic Poland and the host of the Woman at the Edge of the World series. She was a SYLFF grantee, which resulted in a nonfiction book about Polish Jews in Costa Rica, "Polacos". She speaks seven languages.
