
Beverley Abel is the senior producer on Round Earth Media’s documentary specials for NPR stations. She has worked in public media for more than 25 years. Originally from South Africa, she spent a decade in London, producing television documentaries for the BBC, ITV, Central TV and the CBC. In the US, she works in public radio as a producer, editor and host. Awards include a shared Peabody award, a Gracie Allen award for Best National Radio Magazine, Edward R. Murrow award, National Federation of Community Broadcasters’ Silver Reel award, and PRX Zeitfunk award for the most downloaded radio documentary (Immigration Uncovered: Untold Stories of Moving North).
