Cady Voge is a freelance multimedia journalist based in Bogotá, Colombia. Cady does a lot of reporting on migration, following stories such as the caravan of Central Americans traversing Mexico toward the US and the thousands of Venezuelans fleeing economic crisis to find a home in Colombia. She loves covering stories about people thriving despite the odds, like her written piece about Venezuelans living on cryptocurrency, or the radio package about a Syrian refugee-turned-chef in Bogota who moved to Colombia for love. Lately she’s been making a lot of short documentaries. Prior to going freelance, Cady served as the Managing Editor at Innovations | Stories where she was responsible for leading the multimedia strategy on the site, and commissioning stories from freelancers all over the world. Cady holds an MA in International Journalism from City, University of London and a BS in Community and Regional Development from UC Davis. Cady Voge is a 2019 Reproductive Health, Rights, and Justice in the Americas grantee and her work will focus on the challenges of women asylum seekers in reproductive health care.
