Caitlin Chandler is an investigative journalist and writer covering migration, security and human rights. She is the recipient of an Investigative Journalism for Europe cross-border grant, EU Migration Media Award (2019), International Reporting Project Africa Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution fellowship on Sudan, the German Otto Brenner Preis for investigative reporting (as part of a team), and an Anne LaBastille Writing Residency for creative nonfiction. Her writing has appeared in The Guardian, The New York Review of Books, The Columbia Journalism Review, The Intercept, Guernica and The Nation among others. She is also an editor at Africa Is A Country.
