Claire Caulfield is a freelance podcast producer attracted to projects that highlight underrepresented voices, explore the natural world and benefit the public. A recent transplant to Chicago, she spent the past three years producing Offshore, a narrative podcast about Hawaiian identity and reporting on climate change for investigative news nonprofit Honolulu Civil Beat. Before moving to Honolulu, Claire worked for Phoenix's NPR station and directed a documentary on drinking water contamination for the News21 Carnegie-Knight Initiative. She’s a proud graduate of Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. Her work has won a number of regional, national and international awards, including honors from the Rocky Mountain Emmys, EPPY, Murrow, SPJ and AIB awards. Claire regularly gives podcasting 101 presentations to students, provides free script editing for first-time podcasters from diverse backgrounds and is a NextGenRadio mentor. She’s also an avid reader who loves a good book club.
