Elaisha Stokes is a freelance journalist and documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn. Her work has been supported by the Nation Institute for Investigative Reporting, the Ontario Arts Council and the Patsy Pulitzer Fellowship for Documentary Filmmaking. Her films have aired nationally and her freelance journalism appears regularly in the New York Times and Monocle Magazine. Her most recent film, Faile Street, was honoured with a Columbia-DuPont Award for emerging student work. Elaisha holds a Masters degree in Journalism from Columbia University.
