Emre Caylak is an award winning Turkish photojournalist whose work focuses on human rights and environmental issues. Since January 2022, he has been covering the war in Ukraine and the cost of the conflict on civilian populations. He has also worked investigating the extinction of the world’s smallest whale in Mexico and China, and documented human rights violations in his home country Turkey, as well as in Syria, India and Nepal.His work and pictures have been published by The Guardian, Der Spiegel, The New York Times, Washington Post, Time, Foreign Policy, NZZ, Amnesty International among others.
