Eulimar Núñez is a Venezuelan journalist with more than 14 years of experience and is the Health Editor at UnivisionNoticias.com. She edits, writes, produces and develops multimedia stories from breaking news to more ambitious editorial projects about access to the healthcare, disease outbreaks and women’s reproductive health with a focus on Hispanics in the U.S. and Latin America. In recent months, she has focused her coverage on gender and minority issues, and specifically the women’s movement.
She has also received a fellowship from the International Center for Journalists to cover the fight to eradicate malaria in Thailand and Cambodia. She was part of the Univision digital team that received a Florida Sunshine Award for the coverage of the legalization of same sex marriage in the U.S. in 2016. Previously she worked as a multimedia reporter for the Latin American service of the BBC, BBC Mundo, covering international breaking news with an emphasis on the US & Latin America. She also worked for the newspaper El Nacional in Caracas and was a staff writer for EME magazine, a weekly publication on issues related to women.
