Evelyn Kpadeh Seagbeh has more than 12 years’ experience reporting in the field and in newsrooms. She has won three journalism awards. She’s passionate about storytelling and reporting on underreported communities in radio, print and television. Evelyn joined New Narratives in 2018 as a senior reporter and podcast host. She co-hosts Democracy in Focus, a podcast and national radio program. Evelyn reported for Anadolu Agency-the Turkish News Agency. She currently corresponds for Radio Deutsche Welle as Liberia correspondent. Evelyn’s extensive experience reporting on the suffering of women and girls persuaded her to found the non-profit Just a Girl Initiative, which empowers young commercial sex workers, teenage mothers, single mothers and promising young Liberian women and girls who lack opportunities.
