Gabo Caruso is an Argentine freelance visual journalist based in Barcelona, Spain. She studied political science, photography, Visual Communication, and photojournalism. She is interested in gender and feminist issues (stories of women, trans people, refugees , migrants, LGTBIQ+). She has published in media like Stern, El País Semanal, Vice, El diario.es, etc. Her works have been exhibited at Cortona On The Move, Queer Festival Heidelberg, F2 Festival Durtmont, Pati Llimona Barcelona, Casa América Madrid, etc. In 2020, she receives a grant from National Geographic. She is interested in photography as a collaborative and social transformation tool. With her works, she wishes to establish empathetic and intimate links between photographed people and viewers, bringing together stories that expand the limits of thought. Her different projects are linked to human rights in favor of equality.
