Jan Ross Piedad is a content coordinator for Texas’ collaborative of public radio stations and a talk show producer for "The Source" on Texas Public Radio, San Antonio’s NPR affiliate (USA.) She is interested in exploring issues around social inequity and media literacy. Born in the Philippines, Jan Ross is Texas-grown. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree in journalism at UT Austin, Jan Ross was selected as one of 40 students for the University of Texas System’s Archer Fellowship, a live-work-study semester program in Washington, D.C., where she interned for the News Desk at NPR Headquarters and the network’s mid-day program, "Here & Now." She was also a member of the "Texas Standard" digital-first web team during the newsmagazine’s launch in 2015. Jan Ross is an alum of the Salzburg Academy on Media & Global Change, NPR's Next Generation Radio Project and the Age Boom Academy at Columbia University.
