Jennifer Rigby is a British freelance journalist based in Yangon, Myanmar. She covers Myanmar’s transition to democracy as well as other stories across Asia. Rigby focuses on issues of human rights and equality, working across text, audio and video for media including Newsweek, the Telegraph, and the BBC. She previously the worked as executive news producer at the Telegraph, and a special projects producer and acting online editor at Channel 4 News. Through the Reporting Grants for Women’s Stories, Rigby will be working on a book project on women breaking cultural stereotypes in Myanmar.
