Karen Zraick is a reporter and editor at The New York Times. She is deeply interested in the Middle East and Latin America, and the themes of migration and gender. She has written and produced videos for The Times, The Associated Press, the New York Daily News, Clarín in Buenos Aires and the Daily Star in Beirut. She holds a master’s from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor’s in Spanish from the State University of New York at Purchase. She is a longtime member of Her Girl Friday, an all-volunteer group that organizes panel discussions and networking events for (and featuring) women in nonfiction storytelling.
