Katharina Wecker is a bilingual freelance journalist and video producer based in Bonn, Germany. She covers social issues, environment, climate change and politics. Currently, she mainly works for Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany’s international broadcaster. Previously, she has reported from Colombia and Vietnam. Her work has appeared in/on Spiegel Online, Colombia Reports, the New Internationalist, USA Today and Global Post among others. She obtained a master’s degree in International Media Studies from DW Akademie after having completed a bachelor’s degree in International Development at the University of East London.
