Lauren Bohn is The GroundTruth Project’s Middle East correspondent and editor-at-large, based in Istanbul. She’s the co-founder of Foreign Policy Interrupted, a start-up incubator and fellowship program dedicated to changing the ratio and getting more women miked and bylined. She’s also the co-founder of SchoolCycle, a United Nations Foundation initiative to provide bikes to girls in Malawi so they can get to school more quickly and safely. She received a Master’s degree from Northwestern University and her undergraduate degree from New York University. She has reported in Egypt, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia, Palestine, Israel, Iraq, the UAE, Greece, Malawi, Zambia, South Africa, and Nigeria. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, TIME, Marie Claire among others.
