Lillian E. Agosto Maldonado

Lillian E. Agosto Maldonado is an award-winning independent journalist in Puerto Rico and the United States, digital strategist, and university professor. She is the founder and editor of Mundos Paralelos, a digital magazine that portrays Puerto Rican identity in the world. She has a bachelor’s degree in Information and Journalism from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus, and a master’s degree in Puerto Rican and Caribbean Studies from the Center for Advanced Studies in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean in Old San Juan. Her job as a journalist has been appearing in networks such as Primera Hora, Índice, El Nuevo Día, Univision Radio, Hispanic LA, ESPN, Spotlight on Poverty, EdSurge, Feet in 2 Worlds, Borderzine, Hip Latina, Buena Vibra, SalSoul, and SembraMedia, among others. She is currently teaching journalism courses at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, and her academic presentations have been part of conventions in the United States, Cuba, Panama, Canada, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Mexico.
