
Linda Straker entered the profession in May 1997. Throughout the years. she attended numerous trainings such as fellowships, conferences, workshops and seminars as part of my pursuit for ongoing education to keep up with trends and styles in the profession. In 2005, she became the first OECS correspondent for the Paris based Reporters Without Borders and continues to serve currently and from 2007 began working full time as an independent/freelance. She holds a Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law from the World Intellectual Property Academy, a Certificate in Journalism from Columbia University, New York and a Certificate in Creative Writing from St George’s University. Her recent notable training include: Financial and Corruption investigation organized by the International Center for Journalist and the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project; Financial and Business reporting coordinated by the World Bank and Reuters Training Institute; and Health reporting during a pandemic with Knight Centers
