Mabel is the founder and director of the news outlet El Búho. She has more than 20 years of experience with investigative journalist, video journalism, and leading various programs and projects. Mabel was the winner of the National Journalism Award in 2015 and the IWMF Courage Award in 2016. She studied journalism at the Universidad Católica Santa María de Arequipa. She holds a Master's degree in Communications from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
