‘Majirata Latela is a senior journalist for the Reporter Newspaper in Maseru, Lesotho. Her in-depth coverage of the manufacturing and mining industries has appeared in the Associated Press and MNN Centre for Investigative Journalism (MNNCIJ). ‘Majirata holds an associate degree in Journalism and Media from Limkokwing University of Technology. She has worked as a journalist for MNNCIJ, Newsday Newspaper and Informative newspaper. She is a journalist, fixer, and translator. She holds certificates for attending the Training Course in Mass Communication in Cairo in May 2013; Training in Reporting for Regional Integration- SADC in Southern Africa in Johannesburg in July 2013; and Media, Development, Press Freedom and Ethics held in Zambia in November 2014. She has been awarded for her work on health by the Ministry of Health, for her work on climate change mitigation by the Ministry of Energy and Meteorological Services, and for her reporting on COVID19 by UNFPA.
