Marcia Zali is a freelance journalist from South Africa. She holds a Bachelors degree in Journalism from the Tshwane University of Technology. Zali currently works as a freelancer where she specialises in health and science reporting. In 2019, Zali was awarded with the Grow Great journalist of the year for reporting on stunting and child nutrition. And in 2020 she was one of the top five finalists in APO Africa female journalist of the year awards. Through her work, she shines the spotlight on various issues such as GBV and femicide, gender equality, human rights, health and many other social justice issues that affect women and children in South Africa and on the continent.
