
Mary Malemba Mkongo is a Kenyan based multi-award winning journalist whose mantra is to change the World in her own little way through pen and paper. Her reporting pans around but not limited to Human rights, Gender and Social justice and has covered East and South of Africa. Some of her stories include the Africa Union awarding winning article on how parents in Kenya’s Coast are pimping their own children, the plight of Kenyan widows, Coastal women changing the fishing narrative, Mama Samia Suluhu-The hope of African women and many more. Her works have been featured on The Star Newspaper-Kenya, Wempower Magazine-United Kingdom and the Sun-UK. Mkongo holds a bachelor in mass media and communication, a Diploma in journalism and mass communication and certifications in digital reporting, fact- checking, gender studies as well as data journalism.
