Megan Janetsky is a multimedia journalist based in Bogotá, Colombia covering migration, gender issues and human rights across Latin America. She grew up in the U.S.-Mexico border state of Arizona, where the political and social environment was often painted by migration. She was drawn to the topic and the region, and moved to Colombia in 2018 to cover the exodus from Venezuela and Colombia's peace process. Since, she has covered Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, Mexico, Venezuela and has continued work on the U.S.-Mexico border. She has worked with National Geographic, The Washington Post, The New York Times, BBC, Al Jazeera, The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and more.

Megan Janetsky es una periodista multimedia en Bogotá, Colombia que cubre migración, temas de género y derechos humanos en América Latina. Creció en el estado fronterizo de Arizona, donde la cultura política y social estaba vinculada a la migración y a su proximidad con México. La región le llamó mucho la atención, y se mudó a Colombia en 2018 para documentar el éxodo venezolano y el proceso de paz colombiana. Desde entonces, ha hecho trabajo sobre Colombia, Guatemala, Perú, México, Venezuela y ha seguido contando historias desde la frontera entre México y EE UU.
