Nasrin Nawa is a former Senior British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) journalist in Afghanistan and a current Fulbright scholar at the University of Nebraska, College of Journalism and Mass Communications. She is doing her master's degree in Integrated Media Communications in the hope of using her knowledge one day for her country. She has experience in producing, reporting, and hosting live TV shows and news programs for about seven years in Afghanistan. She was also an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) finalist in 2020. Also, she worked as a Senior Media and Communications staff for the Office of the President (AOP) for a year before joining BBC News, where she co-designed a new website. Nasrin was also the women's development director for the Afghanistan National Cycling Federation and a riding team member.
