Nyima Sillah is a diploma student at the school of Media Academy for Journalism and Communication in The Gambia. She works as a print journalist, reporter and a columnist at the voice newspaper. She reports on a wide range of topics including environment and climate change, health issues, politics, education, women & children, finance, social issues and investigative stories. Nyima is very passionate about the media and the crucial role it plays in shaping our society especially in the environmental issues, heath, women empowerment and related issues. Her works are recognized in The Gambia media fraternity. She is a fellow of Journalists for Human Right, Africa Women in the Media, first She-Climate fellowship in The Gambia, fellow in the TAF global leadership Academy, member of Welfare Hub The Gambia, Association of Health Journalism and other related Associations. Nyima has been awarded with certificates for community development in health volunteering services, environment youth matters and others.
