Pamela M. Mawanda has worked as a radio journalist for a local new agency –Uganda Radio Network in Kampala since 2017. She often covers education and health, mainly focusing on under reported areas in the sectors like mental health and the challenges that surround it. In 2017, she applied and was chosen to join a group of 20 Ugandan journalists that participated in the IWMF Great Lakes Reporting Initiative- a one year training programme for journalists, which is currently still ongoing. She has worked in Seychelles as both a freelance journalist at Times of Seychelles (formerly the Victoria Times) and as a staff journalist at TODAY in Seychelles. She’s a graduate of Uganda Christian University, Mukono.
