Ricci Shyrock is a freelance photographer and video journalist based Dakar, Senegal. She has extensively covered the Ebola outbreak in West Africa and her work has appeared in USA Today, Marie Claire, Vogue Italia, The Guardian and more. She is a contributor to @everydayafrica and was a finalist for the Ebola Through the Lens Photo Contest. She holds a Bachelor’s of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2005. The IWMF will be supporting Shyrock’s work with writer Allyn Gaestel on women imprisoned in Senegal for abortion.
