Romita Saluja is an independent journalist in India. Her work explores the themes of gender, development, health, labour, and human rights. Her writing has appeared in The Guardian, Foreign Policy, The Washington Post, BBC, Al Jazeera, Undark Magazine, Ms Magazine, South China Morning Post, Scroll, The Telegraph, Middle East Eye, TRT World, and others. Most of her longform work over the last three years has been supported by fellowships, grants, and training from various organisations like Population Reference Bureau, One World Media, International Center for Journalists, Thomson Reuters Foundation, Maynard Institute for Journalism Education, and most recently, Journalism Centre for Global Trafficking.
