Shreya Raman is an independent data journalist reporting on gender, health, labour and public policy and is based in Mumbai and Goa. She previously worked as a journalist for IndiaSpend and Mirror Now. In 2022 she won the Laadli Media Award for Gender Sensitivity, the Likho Award for Excellence in Media and worked on a story series that was shortlisted for the Sigma Awards for data journalism. She received a Global Nutrition and Food Security Reporting Fellowship from the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), a Spotlight Media Fellowship, a Tableau Equal Measures 2030 Fellowship and is part of PRB's Public Health Reporting Corps. Her work has been published in The Third Pole, IndiaSpend, Behanbox, Nikkei Asia, Article 14 and Scroll.in. She holds a postgraduate degree in print media from the Asian College of Journalism and is an alumni of Columbia Journalism School's Lede Program, a 10-week course on data journalism, coding and visualisation.
