Sojourner Ahebee

Sojourner Ahebee is a Philadelphia-based journalist and audio producer at MSNBC's Into America podcast, a show about being Black in America, holding truth to power & this country to its promises. Previously, Sojourner was the health equity reporter at WHYY News ( NPR Member Station), where she produced audio stories about institutional and interpersonal patient experiences with racism within and beyond the American healthcare system. A graduate of Stanford University, her stories have appeared in The Atlantic, NPR, Poynter, Roxane Gay and Tressie McMillan Cottom’s podcast Hear to Slay, and elsewhere. Sojourner is the recipient of a Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting Fellowship, a MacDowell Colony Fellowship, and she was a 2020 AIR New Voices Scholar.
