
Stefania Prandi is an award-winning freelance journalist, writer and photographer. She covers topics such as gender equality, social issues, labor rights and human trafficking. Her work has been published in Al Jazeera, Internazionale, National Geographic Italia, ELLE, El País, Il Sole 24 Ore, IRPI, Taz, RSI (Radiotelevisione Svizzera), Danwatch. She has written two books, Oro rosso (Red Gold), about women sexually harassed and raped in Mediterranean greenhouses and fields, and Le conseguenze (The Consequences), about femicide victims and their families. Both were published by Settenove in Italy. She got grants and awards in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, and the United States. Her photographs have been displayed in public places such as schools, universities, and libraries throughout Europe and Italy. She speaks at festivals and events nationwide and internationally. As well as teaching journalism courses, she organizes and leads journalism workshops.
