Supriya Vohra is an independent journalist and writer based in Goa, India. She moved to Goa in October 2017 to document an anti-coal movement in the state, and has been writing about environmental issues ever since. She has a growing interest in the mining, marine and fisheries sector. In January 2020, she won the Internews' Earth Journalism Network grant to explore the issues around subsidies in marine fisheries in India. Her work attempts to document human stories, the impact of environmental damage and skewed policy decisions on lives and livelihoods.
