Susan Matthews is Slate’s executive editor. During her time at the magazine, she has served as features editor and news director, and has overseen the science and jurisprudence sections. Her writing and reporting has largely focused on women's issues and sexual harassment. She also served as the host of Season 7 of Slow Burn, on the lead up to Roe v. Wade (with support from the IWMF!). Prior to working at Slate, she was Audubon Magazine’s inaugural online editor, where she relaunched the non-profit’s website, which was nominated for an ASME.
