Tennessee Jane Watson is a radio producer, documentary artist and educator based in Mazama, Washington. She has produced nationally distributed radio features, award-winning films, oral histories, public sound installations and youth media projects. Across disciplines her practice is defined by a collaborative and community-based approach. The daughter of the late journalist Nancy Woodhull, she continues her mother’s legacy of using the media to amplify historically silenced voices. Her work has focused on social justice, immigration and migration, criminal justice transparency, and economic justice. Watson has an MFA in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College. Tennessee Jane Watson and her team are awarded a grant to complete an audio documentary examining childhood sexual abuse in the United States.
