When we launched nearly 25 years ago we didn’t expect the need for the IWMF to be ongoing – we thought that equity and security issues were going in the right direction and that change would put us out of business. We were wrong. Please consider remembering the IWMF in your will, and help ensure the future for women in journalism.

With a bequest to the IWMF, you can:

  • Honor a family member, friend or journalist whose work you admire
  • Name a fellowship (gifts of $1M or more)
  • Designate a program area for support

We encourage you to discuss your options with your attorney or estate planner. You can make:

A Cash Bequest:

You designate a specific amount in your will.

Bequest of Property:

You will the IWMF specific assets, such as securities, real estate, or tangible personal property such as artwork, rare documents, a car or other personal property.

Residuary Bequest:

IWMF receives all or a percentage of the remainder of your estate after the payment of other bequests and expenses.

Retirement Plan Gift:

The IWMF is designated as a beneficiary of your retirement plan.

Please help us face the challenges ahead by making a bequest to the IWMF. Contact us with questions or if you require additional information.
