she/her

Ann Lewandowski is the IWMF’s Associate Development Manager, supporting the organization’s fundraising and strategic cultivation efforts. Outside of work, Ann enjoys biking her way around DC and joining any intramural sports team that will take her on.

After spending a summer interning with the International Press Institute in Vienna, Ann grew passionate about global press freedom advocacy and journalist safety. This led her to move to DC and join the Center for International Media Assistance at the National Endowment for Democracy, where she organized events and workshops and supported communications for the media development research team. Ann’s belief in the importance of uplifting women journalists in media systems around the world is why she joined the IWMF in December 2021.

Ann holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in News Reporting and Editing and a bachelor’s degree in American Studies with a minor in Spanish from Indiana University Bloomington.
