Charlotte Fox is the IWMF’s Director of Communications, leading public relations for the IWMF. In this role Charlotte develops strategy for internal and external communications, promoting IWMF’s unique value proposition – the protection, support and recognition of women and gender diverse journalists – and the safety training, byline opportunities and emergency support that the organization provides.

Charlotte is a fierce advocate of gender equity across all industries and geographies, with a lifelong passion for the news. After beginning her career in reputation management, she focused on creating awareness and driving demand for organizations within the education, health policy and women’s issues industries. Charlotte directed communications at three Washington-based agencies prior to joining the IWMF, most recently as a Vice President for MSL.

Originally from Chevy Chase, Maryland, Charlotte graduated cum laude from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, with a degree in art history. In her past life she lived in Rome, Italy, and spent time working at the National Gallery of Art and the New Britain Museum of American Art. She is currently a member of the International Advisory Group for Missing Perspectives, and is a part of the Community Advisory Council for WETA.
